…und manchmal sind die Schreiber unfreiwillig komisch:
I hope you will Improve your Self at School and Study the English Gramar as your Letter is badly Spelt. [Ulster, 1818]
schreibt jemand, der unter anderem auch solche Stilblüten von sich gibt:
Neaver the Less I must Acknowledge Ireland is by no means to be Compaired to America {.} I must be Content to Lay my Boanes with my Ansesters as I hive No famly at presant [Ulster, 1820]
Da gibt’s orthografisch aber Schlimmeres.
